Therapist by trade wood turner by passion!!

Local artist Brian Comolli had not thought about woodturning since he was in junior high school. Everything changed during the Christmas of 2014, however, when his son presented him with a small Jet wood lathe. The lathe unleashed a hidden addiction that was to become a daily adventure. Brian began turning daily, with the mistake pile growing faster than the completed work, YouTube became his favorite TV show and inspiration. Brian would watch veteran turners create beautiful pieces in what seemed like minutes, and he would head for the little 10×10 shop to have a go at it.

Brian can be found working at his home workshop in Hendersonville which is filled with his 3rd lathe and many more tools of the trade. He is passionate about turning wood and continually growing his knowledge and experience in the artform. He is consistently encouraged by his best friend and wife Kelli and loves how she seems to glow when he brings in his latest project saying, “that’s the best one yet”. It humbles him to have a piece of his work in someone’s home. He prays to have the opportunity to grace the homes of many who will appreciate the time, love and work that went into each and every piece of art.
