HENDERSONVILLE, NC — HANDCRAFTED FURNITURE & FINE ART
Molly Courcelle
Molly Courcelle is a local fine artist in Asheville, North Carolina. Scripture continually captivates Molly’s heart in fresh and new ways and has become an important inspiration in her creative process. Bringing her faith into the work gives purpose and excitement to the act of painting. While my visual vocabulary is directly linked to nature, the subject of my work is mainly scriptural.
Growing up, her mother and artist, Bee Sieburg, encouraged her to view the world from an artist’s eye. She attended Wake Forest University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in painting. Upon graduating, she became involved in floral design while living in the northeast. After moving to Asheville in 1997, she and her mother opened The Gardener’s Cottage, a floral and antiques shop in Asheville’s Biltmore Village, which they sold in 2004. By 2008, Molly and her mother both moved into their own art studios in the Wedge Building in the River Arts District, Asheville, NC where they both still work out of today.
