Richard, Megan

Megan is a local painter who calls the Blue Ridge Mountains home. The abundance of natural beauty in the region serves as inspiration for her work. Megan’s paintings depict ethereal mountain vistas, expansive starlit skies, and tree filled woodlands. Her landscapes evoke a quiet sense of time and place. Megan hopes that her paintings connect on an emotional level with the viewer.

Megan has a BA in Fine Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University. She has studied watercolor paintings at the Studio School at Annmarie Sculpture Garden in Solomans Island, Maryland and has also taken classes at the Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia. Megan is also a credential Montessori teacher who spent years in the classroom encouraging the creative endeavors of her students.
